Artist Statement:
I've never wanted to be a person that just survives according to lifes norms. I want to be different. I just never knew how to express myself. Recently, through photography I have found my outlet.
I find lifes journey confusing. A tragedy filled with joy. We love hard only to see it inevitably die. It doesn't seem right. It is also a miracle were here. I don't know how my body works. Yet I still live. Only for a short time according to God's plan. I hope through art I will live 'forever' like many other artists.
There are many brilliant people in the world. I feel that the ones who touch your soul are artists. Artists are the ones who put there feelings out to the world knowing there will be repercussions. I feel that if I can influence one person through my art its reason to move forward with my calling. Maybe, that person can influence a thousand people. A single human being can be the most powerful creature in the universe.
It's fitting I write this essay on Memorial Day weekend. American history is a subject that has always intrigued me. I...
