The artist's trajestory.
He completes his studies in design and art at the Escuela MASSANA (Barcelona) in 1972, and takes the path of investigation into color and geometrical forms.
After several years of invetigation, in the 80s, he develops a theory about the influence of color on the human mind and takes as a personal reference the geometrical form of a tetraedron considering it as an element of visual inspiration to himself.
Convinced that the visual observation of colors, captured in sequences of harmony, cretates sensations of well being and that the contrary causes altarations of state of mind, he inmerses himself in the research of a technique of pictorial ewpression taking oils as the reference.
A few years later his experimental work on textures and ways of expressions leads him to achieve what he considers the oil in movement, an oil texture that allows him the maximun expression in his creations; which is totally reflected in his first grand collection " Mined and Cosmos ", using canvas with a triangular shape a a reference to his favourite geometrical form, allowing him to display his most intimate sensations about the mind and the cosmos.
Although he receives excellent reviews and success obtained in all of the expositions (85% of his work is sold) the author does not feel entirely satisfied with his means of expression.
A born investigator and perfectionist with himself, but also with a commitment to the public, he decides to continue along the path of inner research in an attempt to relate his work to his own life and way of thinking.
Assiduous reader and enthusiast of mythological text and more and more concious of the need for a chromatically harmonized art, he searches in his deepest belief for an inspirational motive which is transformedin the year 1990 in a dream where visualises the work
" El Bosque de los Dioses/as Mediterraneos " ( The Forest of the Mediterranean Gods/Goddesses).
This revelation disturbs him during the following 10 years in which he makes a series of trips in search of sensations in places where the mythological texts look place.
As a result of this effort to document and internalize, he believes that with the arrival of the new millennium, he has found what he was looking for and what is more important he understands the message of his dream.
From this moment on, the artist finds his inspiration strengthened, in the creation of tne series " Bosques de los Dioses/as " ( Forest of the Gods/Goddesses ), where the mytological divinities emerge reflected in chromatically harmonius tones and empirical shapes that pretend to catch the spectators mind in an attempt, on behalf of the artist, to transmit his personal experiences and internal visions.
Loyal to his triangular form, but conscious of the limitation of such a format, he unitews different triangular pieces to allow himself a wider expression of color, so that he works with the honesty that the pigment allows.
Adras, conscious of the conmitment to his public, destroys all of the works that according to his criteria he does not consider appropiate because they do not transmit the vibrations that he is trying the observer to get.
Each work of Adras is a compendium of harmonious vibration created only and exclusively to achieve a mental complicity between the author and the observer who visualises it.
As a result of his solitude in investigation, and of the isolation of the classical routes that artists follow, he is driven by an obsession to search for a new style of expression that will differ from what has been established.
We see in Adras paintings the achievement of a new pictorical character that defines it as something unique and truly special.
