Artist Statement:
CONTEMPORARY ART EXHIBTION AKIS RHOES FLUX .
This artistic experiment has been inspired by others of this kind.
OUR CONCEPT is based on the 'world of changes' Fire changes to water + earth in turn...without the one contrary the other would not exsist, + without contraries the cosmos would not exsist(HERAKLITUS).
The natural phenomena, the energy sources, movement towards the liquid element of our existence, which stimulates the senses + thoughts for our personal research, creating skeptical images which consiously or unconsiously permeate through the artistic procedure of the artistic praxis. THE AIM of this exhibition is to develop + stimulate creative thought + a spirit of collaboration between the public + the artists of our island that will open a crossroad of exchange that unites our need for communication + entertainment along with an open cross-cultural dialog on life, joy + sadness as the destiny of each one of us in the world of changes. The participating artists come from Greece, germany, England, Italy, Australia, + the US. Others of us live in GR + others between their native lands dedicated to their art, at times unsupported or ignored by the polity.
