Artist Statement:
As an artist, I am able to observe nature and all its aspects with a keen eye. Only if we take a moment from our fast pace lifestyle and view the natural world of majestic sunsets to the smallest seed, we will uncover masterpieces in our midst. And with every brush stroke my objective is to capture the spirit of mankind and exalt God, the true Master Artist. I admire the works of Diego Velazquez, Rembrandt, John Singer Sargent, Tiepolo and Repin therefore I use the style of realism. With this I consider myself a lifetime student who is forever evolving and improving as an artist. For me this is a mission, a challenge and a privilege to use my talent to educate and unite all peoples in spite of their age, beliefs, race, color and social status.
Each moment I face a new canvas I have the opportunity to incorporate my thoughts, energy and creativity even if I have painted the same concept numerous times yet it will always capture a new light.

| Your Personal Biography |
Alex Loza, an artist that honors Peru through his paintings. His works are emphasized for their unique and unmistakable seal in the lines, colors, the chiaroscuro (the distribution of light and shade in a painting) and the explosive emotions of their personages. He has participated in several events in the Chicagoland area like, “The Hispanic Art Fair” with ABN AMRO bank, the celebration of the Peruvian Independence at Daley Plaza and Día del Niño Parade.
His works have impacted so many people locally as well as internationally. So much that the Miami based Peruvian composer and musician, Gerardo Rehuel Sánchez categorizes him as '…a youth that is already catalogued, as one of the best painters of the world' '…that deserves to be classified in the group of the ten young people abroad that are a ' Pride of Peru', and 'THE
BEST OF THAT WHICH IS OURS'.
To this the Art History Professor, Asun Carrillo from Spain adds '…that his works are full of deep roots that helps him to create a vivid chromatic palette, full of poise and of accentuated emotions'. Singer RosaLuz, 'The Native Voice of Peru' says that Alex '…in spite of the distance he carries Peru in his blood but even more in his art which leaks Peruvian essence in his steps by
other hearths.' And the Peruvian Filmmaker and Producer, Juan Carlos Ogañes said that '... in truth is a pride to have a countryman with talent to spare and so well educated in the matter.' Also there have been articles written in “La Raza”
(Hispanic newspaper) in Chicago, Illinois, New York Post and in the digital Peruvian newspaper “Cronica Viva” (Live Chronic).
Towards the end of 2007, Alex stepped to form part of the artists that Mr. José Barrera, Principal of Columbia Explorers Academy commissioned to create portraits of Mexican heroes to be part of a collection. On March of 2008 the portrait of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz was unveiled and ready to be seen by thousands of children, youths and art lovers.
Alex continues to reside in Chicago, Illinois along with his wife and representative, and their three-year old golden retriever/cocker spaniel mix dog, Maggie. While his family continues to grow so does his chromatic palette. Although the years
pass, Alex has always maintained his mission “to use my artistic talent and skills to portray and foster the character, essence and the spirit of every concept I have and will continue to create.” Currently he is working on new pieces that will exalt his
passion and demonstrate the value of his creativity.
