Artist Statement for Artur Pashkov
Artur Pashkov aspires to be a successful artist who reaches his audience by expressing his feelings and emotions through his work. He's daring enough to show his Art, no matter how dramatic it is. Artur is no longer afraid to express what he feels or sees, as there is little value for him in living a life full of fear. Artur strives to be true to his feelings and emotions, not accommodating himself or his work to societal standards that go against his very nature.
It's not easy for Artur to describe his creativity, because it's a process that he's not fully aware of. His visions are like dreams, and are not easily understood or explained. Every time he takes a brush in hand, his visions are coming from nowhere, and he does not know where they will take him. Some of Artur's paintings appear to come from another world, crazy and even scary.
Often, Artur cannot control his emotions and his creative energy flows unfettered as he paints from the evening through the next morning. Artur usually paints at night when he can concentrate on his visions, isolating himself from outside world. It's the time when he creates his own world of color and paint where he becomes the ruler and the creator.
Artur has sold many paintings to private collectors and friends in Moscow, London, Stockholm, New York, and Los Angeles as well as many other cities.
