Artist Statement:
Comes to us from Bogotá,
Colombia. She received her
undergraduate degree from
Taller 5, Bogotá, Colombia in
graphic design. Studied
painting at the Academia de
David Manzur from 1982-1985.
In 1988 she studied
Escenography, Animation, Movie
making in 1989-1990 in Bogotá,
Colombia... Alicia then
focused on Pottery in
1993-1995 at El Bosque
University in Bogotá,
Colombia. From there she
studied Art History at
Athena’s Institute in 1998 in
Bogotá, Colombia. Coinciding
in 1998, she attended El
Bosque University to intensify
in engraving, sculpture and
stain glass.
