Artist Statement:
A lot of my work comes into existence through a desire to realise a sketch or idea, from inspirational images and objects that I see in the world around me, or just from experimenting with a new medium. This generally leads to stylization of the idea combined with strong, vibrant colours and results in a very graphic image which
I can say is typical of my style.
Making use of a broad spectrum of different media and techniques my favourites are graphically decorated papiermaché objects, screens, murals, and mosiacs.
I also work freelance as editor and graphic designer
of an expatriate magazine. Examples can be seen here: http://ci.spiralfx.com/publicat ions/11.html
Should you wish to see other examples of my work please take a look at my website: http://www.alisonday.nl
Or feel free to contact me, I am always interested in any feedback!
