Artist Statement:
A lot of my work comes into existence through a desire to realise a sketch or idea, from inspirational images and objects that I see in the world around me, or just from experimenting with a new medium. This generally leads to stylization of the idea combined with strong, vibrant colours and results in a very graphic image, which
I can say is typical of my style.
Making use of a broad spectrum of different media and techniques my current favourites are graphically decorated papiermaché-mosaic pictures, screens, and mosiacs. In the former I use acrylic paints and rework 'trash' to decorate my pictures. My motto here being: 'Re-Cycle, Re-Use, Re-invent'
I am also editor and graphic designer of an expatriate magazine. Examples can be seen here: http://connect-int.org/publicat ions/11.html
