Artist Statement:
Every person is a sculptor of his life. We sculpture ourselves and a world around us; we touch our emotional experience with our souls, thoughts and hands – that is a credo of our creation.
In this kind or art the closest (tactual) contact among artists and their creation can be reached.
According to the ancient myth, gods made people of clay. This myth may be concealing a secret of clay, i.e. mystical opportunity of giving shape of different textures: starting from stones to vegetation, from animals to humans, including human feelings and world outlook.
Shapes are conceived inside a soul and in mind, then are displayed at a sketch and finally are embodied by the medium of a piece of clay. Like in the ancient myth, the order takes its beginning from the chaos.
Clay is a naturally occurring material that enables us for comprehensive expression of natural feelings, thoughts and emotional atmospheres.
Thus, shapeless plastic pieces of clay give a rise to many images, among them sad and funny, strict and tender characters. Artist may combine volumetric plastic arts with graphics and/or painting. Besides that, it is a good addition to our work in the field of ...
