Artist Statement:
Eleven years Retired Marketing Exec. Self taught,painter
for 28 years. Also has studied with Hungarian Born Artist
and Teacher, Ilona Rittler, to round out the edges, and develop new
techniques. Ross terms his style as "modernistic impressionistic".
Oil on Canvas medium mostly used, although has done a lot in Acrylics.
Ross uses a myriad of subjects. "I love things that are old and worn,
whether it is an old building or a beautiful old & craggy face". Most of
Al's works are in private collections. Has done an illustration for a book cover - "The Lost Accord" by Wm. Pekala. Also, Al will be happy to
do special projects within his area of expertise....

I love most anything old, from a door to an old building, to my favorite - Old and
Weathered faces. As I travel around the world, some of the photos I have taken
in foreign coun tries are truly inspirational |

I tarted painting years ago, I always in
positions that were, naturally stressful. I tried painting and fell in love immediately. Not only did it relieve any tensions, but also brought out my creativity

| Your Personal Biography |
Retired Marketing Executive, painting for over 30 years - self taught - except for a two year stint under the tutelage of Ilona Rittler, a very fine Hungarian artist,and teacher, trained in Vienna.
This enabled me to hone up on new techniques,and smooth out the edges. It was a time worth spending. Have done a
book cove for the 'Lost Accord' by William
Pekala. Commissions gladly accepted. |
