Artist Statement:
If learning comes from within
oneself then it is something
you own, cherish and nuture.
If it comes entirely from
outside ourselves then it
remains a foreign concept and
will be used only when
necessary and if unused for
any length of time it is soon
forgotten.
As real artists we can only
speak the truth through our
work, the truth within our own
being. As Human (fragile,
doomed) and Being
(enlightened, at One) we are
taking a long journey and the
artist's work is an important
map for all on that journey.
The artist paints a map of
his/her inner life and others
recognize aspects of that
truth in their struggle and we
learn and we learn.
My journey is about journeys
and learning.
I've lived in about 30
different addresses and am
currently living in the hot
bed of the Middle East. I am
also a teacher of art and a
leader of a different art
groups wherever I go. Art,
sharing and the pursuit of
truth are my life.
In 1988 I starting painting in
the round after much study and
meditation on the oneness and
wholeness of this creation we
