| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
jasper johns has always got me thinking about what it's like to see and look at things differently, in a kind of look at oneself looking kind of way. He kept me going through art school even though my work looked very different to his and did eventually drift into other areas. I've always had time for Chardin and Morandi as painters as well as the cool wit of Patrick Caulfield. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I had always drawn and painted from a very young age and despite there being hardly any books in the house to maintain my interest I kept going until I had to make an academic choice at school. I studied science at school and graduated from school with science qualifications but after a year or so I decided I would go to Art School. Four years later I graduated with a 1st class honours degree in Fine Art. |
