“I don’t pretend that I paint
because I want to say
something or convey a message.
So, please don’t read any
hidden meanings into my
paintings. I paint because I
like to portray the happier
side of life — beautiful
landscapes, for example —
because I think that there are
enough artists painting the
morbid side.”
