Artist Statement:
Myths are a never-ending theme
to many authors as a symbol of
love, fruitfulness and the
flight of the spirit.
As a subject of my painting I
chose the legend about
Orpheus. The enigma of his
muse and love I relate to the
mysticism of the Rhodopes. The
singer and the mountain become
one.
I drew the Pegasus and Icarus
flight as a fairy-tale in warm
colors....
