Artist Statement:
Annie Patterson botanical watercolour paintings are on acid free paper with some on vellum.
Subjects are painted from real specimens and are botanically acurate in detail and colour and take many hours of observation and drawing, using light and shade to emphasize the three dimensional feeling of the plants.
Paintings range from exotic fruits and vegetables to seed heads and flowers and commissions are welcome.
She has exhibited botanical watercolours in the US, UK and France where her work is in many private collections.
In 2006 she is exhibiting the Museum of Garden History in July and Denbies Wine Estate in August.
