Antonio Perez Bornot was born
in Santiago de Cuba city, on
march 07th, 1964. He attended
schools and university at
Havana City, where he lives.
In Bornot´s picture, you can
perceive his interest for
ornamental and decorative
function, creating a
harmonious language through
which he shows his
personality.
All of these paintings are
dated and signed between years
2000, 2001 and 2002. The
syncretism theme, among
Spanish and African culture in
the Caribbean environment is
a gift to the continuous and
pictorial Cuban tradition
always looking for the
differences.
These sets of painting were
created spontaneously and not
always the painter were aware
of its accomplishment. As a
result, the final object was
unknown, allowing to the
subconscious one to take its
place in art.
Bornot is an independent and
autodidactic artist, who was
attracted by painting since
early years.
He express himself through
different styles showing some
sort of influence of Picasso
and Lam painting, but keeping
his genuine and own identity,
that catch in every touch the
coloring and tropical
brightness.
He has exposed in personal and
collective exhibitions across
the country.
His pictures can also be seen
at private collections ...

several cities of Cuba, among
them it is necessary to
highlight; " FIGURATIONS "
personal exhibition at Home of
the Press in Holguín City in
March of year 2001.
