Artist Statement:
Art for me involves creating a
surface or object that
captivates the eye as well as
the spirit. If the art has
not stirred a sense of mystery
or activated a hint of an
emotion as well as questions
about its creation, it has
failed. The act of creating
this result is the joy of this
artist.
Through many years of study in
fine art and computer
technology my favorite, though
not exclusive, medium has
become the digital tablet,
brush, and pen. Using the
same time honored techniques
used in oil painting for
centuries, I convert those
processes to the digital
tablet. After many proofs and
the work finally meets my
critque, it is printed to
canvas on a giclee printer
with archival inks. It is
then finished in apearance to
rival oil paintings.
I specialize in custom
portraits and painting
commissions from photos. My
favorite portraits are from
those cusomters who allow me
freedom to be expressive with
the rendering of the piece.
Since my true love in painting
is abstract expressionism, I
enjoy being able to
incorporate a bit of it into
unique and personal portraits.

continual exhibition of his
work and rotating exhibitions
of other artists and offers
custom framing to the
