Artist Statement for Steve Griffin
|
|
|
I am an artist who uses mostly mixed media. I have abstract and semi-abstract art, with some portraiture. My background in art was rooted in my family, which has a long line of woodworking artisans in it. I was instructed early in my youth in oil painting, and later was mentored by a prominent local Dallas, Texas Artist and Educator. I try to let my work speak for itself and would rather hold a conversation about my ideals about art rather that be reduced to describing it in only a few words
