Artist Statement:
The inspiration for my work is the natural world around me. I am a collector of plants and love to water them and watch them grow. My love of nature came about through my study of art at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I looked at patterns passed down from the ages and looked at their inspirations. I also started looking at nature as an inexhaustable source of beauty and pattern. The more I looked at nature, the more I appreciated life itself. I cannot help but notice what is happening to the environment and to extinctions of species. For this reason I decided to dedicate my life and art to natural preservation charities. ...
