LISA AND PHILLIP TREJO

Style--Kinetic Wind Driven Sculpture in Copper - featuring original figurative as well as abstract designs.
Art4Wind sculptures are designed to move in a light breeze as well as heavy wind. These unique sculptures have just received patentable status in the patent process. Using an original design, which facilitates multiple movements, adds to the enchanting action of each piece.
Technique --Procedures include elemental design layout, fabricating, forming, and assembly techniques, which include soldering, brazing and welding. Much of the texture and detail is unique to our work. The patina process involves several coatings and relief sanding to highlight texture, followed by a clear sealer. Many pieces incorporate intricate textural elements and/or stained glass work to enhance the design.
Background--A well-known, award winning jewelry designer, Phillip brings many of his techniques to this new art form. After 15 years designing and creating one-of-a-kind fine art jewelry pieces Phillip was ready to move on toward larger scale metal work. Lisa’s design background in retail display and design was a starting point for her own artistic endeavors. While working together Lisa and Phillip began collaborating. Quickly, the desire to create an entirely new and unusual art form grew. Customers and galleries have become quick to collect and embrace these new sculptural designs.
Representation--Exhibiting at Fine Art Festivals and Select Galleries in the United States and Canada.
Prices $185 to 1500. All signed originals.
