Artist Statement:
Gaille Hunter is a graduate of
the Philadelphia University of
the Arts. A veritable
renaissance woman she has a
Masters in Education and is
currently an adjunct Education
and Psychology professor.
Gaille’s paintings debuted in
February 2002 at the October
Gallery, Philadelphia’s
premiere African-American
venue. Currently, represented
by the Carol Schwartz Gallery
in Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania
and the Marin-Price Gallery in
Chevy Chase, Maryland, Gaille
is honored to have shown her
abstract piece entitled “Two
Dreams” in the celebrated
Powelton Village Ellen Powell
Tiberino Museum’s 2005 Summer
Exhibition and "Country Porch"
in the African American Museum
of Philadelphia's Silent
voices, Loud Echoes 2006
Exhibit. Her most well
received series, “Dance
Arrays” and “Silhouette
Children”, have been heralded
as delightful free-spirited
and heart-warming compositions
with warm color harmonies.

Cathedral Village exhibited
“Silhouette Children” in
September 2005. Reproductions
on note cards, ceramic plates
and prints are distributed by
local galleries and gift shops
such as Art Noir Gallery in
West Oak Lane, PA.
Gaille also writes poetry

. In the spoken word arena
her collection “My Velvet
Pillow” is regarded as a
treasure for daily
inspiration.
