Biography
Raised in Ames, Iowa, I was exposed to many diverse cultural and art related activities. After graduating with a B.S. in Telecommunications and Visual Arts, I became involved with several large corporations as Director of Marketing. As part of my responsibilities I focused on the artistic side and was creative consultant for advertisement and promotional projects. In 1988, I made a major career change and became the Publisher of Fairview Press. As publisher, I also took an active role in the art direction for book covers and promotional materials for authors, which included Bob Keeshan, aka Captain Kangaroo.
In addition to my professional career, I have volunteered as an advocate for psychiatric patients, helping the blind and promoting the arts. Moving to Las Vegas, I became a strong supporter of the Sin City Sisters. This organization helps to educate about HIV and provides hands-on care, as well as, financial support to those in need.
I now resides in Coos Bay, Oregon where I live on Telegraph Hill and enjoy having coffee on my deck in the morning and looking out across the bay.
