Artist Statement:
“I title each piece using the
name of the real life object
so that the viewer is drawn
into the image to explore the
infinite possibilities of the
photographic abstract and then
to imagine and define what
that reality is. Thus, the
audience becomes an active
part of the process of the
reconstruction; if only in
their minds’ eye.”
Jackson Pollock once said that
he didn't care how the paint
and color got there as long as
it said something and in
keeping with that statement my
color pallette in each peice
depicts emotion and lines,
that are either gently wavy or
sharply spiked which lends to
the attitude in my work.
Using technology as my paint
and brush, hopefully my work
emerges from the vast
wasteland of cyber-space and
hopefully gives hope that
man’s creativity can be
redirected and utilized in a
technological world.
