Artist Statement for Kate Uhrich
|
|
|
Born in Landstuhl, Germany, Kathryn Uhrich earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Kent State University. Expressionist Film and Installation Sculpture heavily influenced her work. She was invited to teach Photography and Ceramics at Notre Dame High School, going on to seek certification in the field. Her involvement in The Cleveland Film Society and other outside influences heightened her interest in Contemporary Photography. Integrating technology, film and photography to capture nuances of modernity and the experience of being, the pang of existence, is the essence of her creative process. Her work is frequently exhibited in the Cleveland area, Chicago and New York.
