Artist Statement for Timothy Savard

I first found a pencil in my hand around the age of 5 years old. Being 20 now this say's I've been painting for 15 years. That is my life. This is who i am, and who i want to become. It is my passion, it is my soul. It is my means of exsisting to my means of not exsisting in the sense i become one with the object. From my hand to the paper. The 2 elements of this lifestyle have never become un emerged. It takes something from the inside and places it on an outside object. Sometimes it takes an outside object and places it in me. So you can see how this has become myself, and as one with this lifestyle. Some say that it is a question mark, no doubt, but this is my life and i use this and that to fill in the gaps.
