Artist Statement:
Ayse Toksoz was Born in
Istanbul/Turkey.
She was graduated from
Istanbul State Academy of Fine
Arts (DGSA)-School of Applied
Industrial Arts (UESYO).
After graduation, she
initially worked as a
professional textile designer
at major textile factories and
then as a free lancer
professional textile
creatrist.
She worked with renowned
Turkish painter Mehmet
Guleryuz from 1993 till 1996
at Bilsak Atelier in Istanbul.
From then on she is only
painting.
She so far held 6 solo
exhibitions.
Her painting genre is to be
called as 'expressionist
figurative'. She paints in oil
on canvas and/or paper.
From 1996 onwards she has been
living in Vienna/Austria,
where she endures her art
contributing to private
collections as a free lancer
artist.
