Welcome to Susan Barnes's Portfolio. Browse Barnes's body of work: I paint from life to find the truth in the subject, its soul. It could be the light and the way it reflects and touches form, or the way air looks and moves around solid forms, or color and the way it looks in light and shadow or at a turn. Translucent and reflective objects are often included in my paintings. Both cause light and form to bend and twist, creating another layer, a visual duality.
