Artist Statement for Helena Bedalli
|
|
|
Helena Bedalli grew up in Tirana, Albania. She attended Polytechnic University of Tirana,School of Architecture and Urban Design and received a BFA of Urban Design 1991. On 1998 she moved to Saint Louis, Missouri where she lives with her husband and daughter and is an active member of the arts community.
Her artwork is a search for form and texture using simplified form often found in kids drawings and texture underlying the surfaces to create the design in these paintings.
Her style is raw and sophisticated, spontaneous and deliberate, striking and subtle.
