Artist Statement:
With my black and white
charcoal drawings I attempt to
create a bold image without
the use of color or shading.
I like to refer to this as
"suggestive realism" - a
halfway point in Plato's cave,
between seeing the shadows on
the wall and turning around to
see reality. On my website I
also offer commissions on
people, pet and house
portraits done in very
detailed graphite pencil. You
