I am fascinated by the effect light has on the objects it strikes, creating deep shadows, high contrast, and imparting to those objects a uniquely beautiful dimension. I get the greatest satisfaction when my art realistically portrays these transforming properties of light.
I have been painting for about 30 years and although I am a realist I am not a purist. I will combine different types of medium to get the effect I’m trying to achieve. I enjoy working in a variety of medium including watercolors, oils, acrylics, charcoal and colored pencil.
