Artist Statement:
Mainly self taught, I have been a juried member of the New Brunswick Crafts Council since 1995. I work in textiles, acrylics and other mediums. In 1989 I began to develop my skills in ribbon and traditional embroidery, free motion machine work, and painting. With my initial interest focussed on textiles, my first pieces were wall hangings and cushions featuring painted landscapes with embroidered grasses and flowers in the foreground. Since then I have expanded my work to include traditional landscapes and florals in acrylic. My work continues to express my love for the natural beauty found here in New Brunswick, Canada. I operate a small gallery at 275 Water Street, St Andrews. Visitors are invited to drop in for a visit.
