Artist Statement:
Although I am a traditionally
trained artist, I believe
strongly in exploring
creativity. Through
experimentation an artist may
chance upon new modes of
expression. I experiment with
various media and techniques.
Most recently, I have been
interested in a painterly
approach to other art forms
such as music and dance.
With respect to traditional
studio painting, figurative
work and portraiture continue
to draw my interest. Also, I
have a continuing interest in
landscape painting. This
arises most likely from my
personal history of living on
the fringe of wilderness on
the west coast of British
Columbia and in recent years
through experiences in the
Rocky Mountains and foothills
of Alberta, Canada....
