Francois Verdugo
My interests in the Visual Arts started later in life but, I had unknowingly been exposed to it throughout my entire life. You might say the lights of a social hypnotic construct that disabled my senses blinded me, but have since then picked up a sixth sense to compensate. I endeavor to use this sixth sense in my artwork; to try show the injustices and imbalances that social constructs have to offer. I never try to justify my works for there is enough justification around the globe that is immoral, unethical and consequently inhumane.
My artworks are primarily photographic in nature but I have taken minor studies in painting, which I thoroughly enjoy. I have also undertaken studies in printmaking, drawing, life drawing and intend on furthering my studies in video production and sculpture. I firmly believe that we constantly learn throughout our lives to feed our insatiable minds and souls. The power of belief has become so powerful to me that I could create or kill a god with it, and there is nothing more powerful in this universe than it’s creator God.
