Artist Statement:
I like to create art that
expresses colour. Enjoying a
work does not merely depend on
what the picture is, but the
feelings it can envoke.
Abstract allows the viewer to
see their own images in the
frame, and read their own
feelings into the picture.
Often I have people come up
and tell me what they see in
my paintings, and then minutes
later someone else tells me
other things that they see.
This is fascinating, and part
of the reason that I love to
work with the abstraction.
There are no rules, just a
sense of whimsy and
freedom....

Welcome to Karen Biko's Portfolio.
I like to create art that expresses colour. Enjoying a work does not merely depend on what the picture is, but the feelings it can envoke.
