Artist Statement for Blaine Paul Rancourt

|
I choose to paint with acrylics and inks foremost because of the shorter drying times, my work is very much spontaneous without prior knowledge of what the outcome will be. The wet on wet backgrounds are the base of the painting leading me into the focal point of the piece. I depend upon the use of prophetic spiritualism in my work using symbols, color and depth to hopefully draw the viewer into some type of personal revelation.
