Artist Statement:
My compositions are based on
fanciful depictions of
objectivity. By visualizing
icons and symbols as metaphors
the viewer becomes an active
participant in a problem
solving experience. I strive
to connect the abstract with
reality. A bit of mysticism,
dissimulation and camouflage
adds dimension and a multi
layer platform of
attentiveness.

Much like dreams, where pieces
do not realisticly fit or make
sense, their association in
this dream state continue to
interact and function. We
self analyze and attempt to
make it right or problem solve
a solution or a personal
connection.

From Dante to Shakespeare the
understanding of these form
associations, the process of
thought, the capacity of the
dream and the interpretive
nature are accepted. There
continues to be a desire to
provide this interpretive
nature of dreams and to search
for an understanding of
associated forms. We want to
analyze, we attempt to make
logical sense and we problem
solve to find a comfortable
resolution.

The Veristic Surrealists in
the 30's enjoyed this spirit
of mysticism. That allowance
for
subconscious imagery to be
held and later transformed
into man's conscious play.

I construct my imagery in
three dimensional wall pieces
attempting to seduce the
curious ...
