Artist Statement:
Artist's statement <1.
This series of paintings is my
exploration of the cataclysmic
events that set the stage for
life on earth. They are my
personal discovery of how life
on Earth developed from a
primordial bacterium LUCA
(Last Universal Common
Ancestor) to the beautiful orb
that sustains us today. In my
imagination I went outside the
solar system to paint
"alcohol clouds" filled with
organic molecules.
This art series transforms
entire landscapes, drawing in
hundreds of species and
determining their fate. Each
painting is set in a different
part of this Universe and
shows how immense natural
forces, often starting
millions of miles away, drive
a chain reaction that
culminates in a spectacular
event we call art.

reception on May 14th.
