Artist Statement for Bonie Bolen

I enjoy making art for so many different reasons. Mostly it's symbolism of the objects and how it relates to the story or feelings that I'm trying to express. Sometimes it's the beauty of a scene; the lighting, colors or composition. Sometimes it's the person. Inspiration comes from so many different places. A lot of times an image won't leave me until I've done something with it. The most frequent themes in my work are love, lighting, communication, nature, and music.
The biggest reward for me is when I can express something that someone can relate to.
