About Bonnie E. Rodgers:
When you look at Bonnie E. Rodgers’ paintings, be prepared to surrender you imagination to exciting and shimmering colors in watercolor, oils, or mixed media, etc. Whether her subject is florals, a person from her past or a serene landscape, she has the skill to infuse feeling and capture a moment of the very fabric of her life.
Mrs. Rodgers earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Studio Arts from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, 1998 and Masters of Fine Art 2006, magna cum laude both. At age 42 life changed, she discovered art and the ability to give feeling and emotion validity, through Dr. Francis Thurber’s guidance. Now, inspiration came from many directions: exploring thoughts, a line from a poem, a part of a conversation, something that struck her with color, or society’s complexities. Married to Samuel W. Rodgers, three grown children, and seven grandchildren keeps her rooted. The binding of family with roots in Wisconsin and Nebraska keeps her in the Midwest. Researching feelings felt while growing up puts words to poetry with subjects such as childhood games, mud pies baked on orange crates in the backwoods, cranes in migration ...
