Artist Statement for Brett Wilson

My most recent series entitled Modem Operandi explores the possibility for individuals to connect across the globe through the interenet and the resulting dispersion of ideas and dissolution of traditional physical boundaries. Through metaphor and symbolic representation the work expresses a collective experience in a non material place where traditional divisions are challenged by a decentralized collaborative culture.
