Artist Statement:
I continually strive to evolve
consciously and my art is a
reflection of this process. I
am currently exploring the
dynamic created when seemingly
opposing conditions are
allowed to exist
simultaneously: freedom &
restraint, visibility &
invisibility, activity & rest.
My intention is to highlight
the beauty that exists when
these states harmonize with
one another rather than
compete with one another. I
believe that artwork resonates
with the energy of intention
and hope that my paintings add
harmony to the spaces in which
they live.
My figurative paintings focus
on the process by which
humanity evolves towards a
greater sense of peace. The
figures in my work struggle,
hope, heal, and persevere.
Through their experiences they
continually evolve their
concept of “self ” and
gradually transition from a
limited identity towards an
infinite one.
