Expression above all else.
My work is in a constant evolutionary state. I work hard at never letting my emotions or visions rest. One needs to hear and heed the voices that can lead and push us into different directions.
My paintings range from the representational to the expressionistic, I ...

Chadds Ford Post
R. B. Strauss
Review of the 2005 "Christmas in Miniture Exhibition" at the Chadds Ford Gallery in Chadds Ford, PA.
Incandescent, Neo-Fauvist colors rendered in sweeping, organic brushstrokes is a highlight of all of Mark Brockman's work. It's an amazing achievement considering the size of his art in this show, as for all thier compactness, his paintings are open ended, panoramic and expansive.
Yet for all these qualities, he outdoes himself in "Railroad Crossing."
This is a stunning, intense landscape that melds the notion of autumn's full blaze and an idiosyncratic crossroads of sorts. Massed trees in rich gold, amber, umber and orange vie for attention with stark purple patches of woodland beneath a brooding sky. And there, but just barely, is the railroad crossing sign, dwarfed by the very tall trees.
