Artist Statement:
"Most of the time my work is
rooted in an exploration of
structure, by nature and the
landscapes of Northern Ireland
where I grew up or London
where I now live.
The handling of the materials
is very physical with the
stretchers frequently becoming
more sculptural or sculptures
becoming painterly. The battle
between figuration and
abstraction is over and the
dismembered limbs of each
argument can be fitted
together as needed for the
artist's purpose".

April 1971; Born, Co Tyrone N. Ireland,
developed a liking for the landscape while skiving school.
1993, Moved to London, began art training at night school
1995, Camberwell CoA London
1996-99, BA Hons UEL London
1999, Artist in Residence Silversands Barbados
2000, lived in Donegal, Ireland 5 months

2004 PGCE Pcet University of Greenwich
I have completed 4 residencies and have 6 works in three public/corporate collections.
currently Lecturing (part time)in B6 Sixth Form College Hackney, coninuing to exhibit in the UK & abroad.
