Artist Statement:
"Most of the time my work is rooted in an exploration of structure, by nature and the landscapes of Northern Ireland where I grew up or London where I now live.
The handling of the materials is very physical with the stretchers frequently becoming more sculptural or sculptures becoming painterly. The battle between figuration and abstraction is over and the dismembered limbs of each argument can be fitted together as needed for the artist's purpose".
Paul Cairns M.A.
Originally from N. Ireland, Paul obtained both his B.A. and Masters in London. He has 6 works in 3 public collections and exhibits regularly in the UK and internationally. ...
