Artist Statement:
I live in Detroit Michigan,
the once great car capitol of
the world. Most
people want to make something
of themselves and I choose to
make art. I don't
know if it really matters
where you make art but you are
a product of your
environment. So I paint what I
live.
Art is somewhat a world
unto itself, with its own set
of parameters (that
can change) and it reflects
reality. I am interested in an
art that goes past
the labels of abstraction,
realism and expressionism and
can incorporate all
three; this is not a copout,
this is a more universal
expression of art. So I am
just another voice in the
quest for truth, love and
freedom....
