Welcome to Carl Gethmann's Portfolio.
I've been painting and drawing seriously for about a year after approximately 30 years of studying art and architecture on my own. I have no formal art training. My inspiration is the Hudson River School.
My digital paintings are printed on thin, aluminum sheets that are flush mounted on light metal frames with hangers that result in the painting hanging flush to the wall. This media provides vivid color, which is essential to my art, and a depth that is not possible using paper or canvas media.
