Artist Statement:
Welcome, my dear guest!
Where have you been all this
time?
Anyway, I am happy you are
here and this is my short
story:
I was born in 1953 in
Ljubljana (Republic of
Slovenia) but I reside and
work in Holland. I am
professional artist and I run
my own art studio ART CARNIOLA
(portrait painting, stil life,
religious art, supplier of oil
mediums, pigments, canvas
boards and other art materials
for oil painting).
I started to draw as a young
boy. I drew everything, from
ancient Greek soldiers,
tempels, horses, buccaneers,
pirate ships, even flowers.
But it was not until my 33rd
year of life that I bought my
first oil colors, brushes and
canvases. From that moment on,
the whole world of colors was
open to me and oil painting
become my most powerful tool
to express my feelings and
ideas in colored form.
I never wanted to belong to
any group or stream in art
world. This is against my
feelings of creating art. When
ever someone join to certain
team, sooner or later this
group will set up its own
rules: except this and deny
that. I do not want that. I do
not want to ...
