Artist Statement:
An Irish Artist, splitting my
time between the beautiful
Irish Lakelands of Fermanagh
and the vast Lanarkshire
countryside, I paint the
celtic landscapes and the
animals that encapsulate rural
life. I favour a limited
palette and loose strokes to
infuse movement and atmosphere
onto the canvas.
Stormy skies should be felt
from the canvas and you should
almost hear the wind whistling
in your ears.
With animal paintings I focus
on the reality of their
sparkling eyes. They are the
windows to their soul, and as
such, they must reflect that
individual's spirit. When you
look him in his eyes I want
you to know exactly what he is
thinking.
