Artist Statement:
I have been an artist all my
life it seems.
Having a special love of
figurative works, they have
been expressed in pastels,
gouache, ink, pencil, prisma
pencil and oils.
In most recent years, I have
been painting oil portraits
from heirloom photos. Now I
have added animal and nature
painting to my repertoire. My
love of nature began early in
life as I grew up on a farm
with eighty plus acres on
which to roam.
Now a return to those
pleasurable times is possible
through my art. In addition to
my pet, still life, landscape
and figurative works, I will
be revisiting those childhood
memories and sharing them with
you on canvas. Maybe there
will be some of your memories
there. I hope you enjoy
viewing them.

I have created Art in one form or another since childhood. I took one year of Art in high school and a fashion drawing class at Virginia Commonwealth University so am essentially self-taught.
