Artist Statement:
Born in Australia in 1959, and
spent formative years in New
Guinea as a Policeman's
daughter. Completed 4 year
Jewellery making
Apprenticeship in 1979.Lived
in Japan 6 1/2 years prior to
1991. Continues to create
jewellery and small sculptural
objects.
Began Painting in 1994.
Completed Fine Arts Degree at
Griffith University,
Queensland College of Art. Now
lives on the Gold Coast of
Queensland, Australia.
Awarded Summer Scholarship at
Australian National University
in Jan 2005. Awarded Channel
10 Aquisitive Prize in 1994.
Has held 3 solo exhibitions,
11 group exhibitions.
Often figurative abstracts
with socio political themes.
