'I strive to express
graphically the power of the
subject, the mass and movement
in the structure, the spectrum
of colour radiating from the
object, in essence the life
force. The intangible inspires
me to paint, in much the same
way that hearing a piece of
music or a particular voice
inspires me to sing. I am
driven to create and recreate
the experience of initial
inspiration and to communicate
and share the sentient
experience with the viewer'...
